Our lifesaving swimming lessons combine swimming ability with water survival, safety and rescue skills.
Participants begin by strengthening their personal water safety skills, including floating, treading water, survival swimming and maintaining control in the water.
They can then progress towards lifesaving techniques such as reaching and throwing assists, rescue swimming, casualty approaches, support and towing techniques.
Training can also include practical scenarios that help participants understand how different skills may be applied during aquatic emergencies.

Excessive tension can make floating and efficient movement more difficult.
Distance and stamina can be increased progressively as technique and fitness improve.
Showering before entry helps keep pool water clean, balanced, and hygienic for all swimmers and young infants.
